In 1999, we founded San Miguel School, an educational project by Sandoval Group and Coprodeli NGO, which provides opportunities for hundreds of children in one of Callao's poorest areas: Tiwinsa.
This school represents a change in our society because it not only focuses on students’ development at school, improving educational level and promoting knowledge, but also on complementing this education with other critical aspects for a child’s development: preventive health programs , balanced diet programs, parenting workshops and permanent psychological support, both for the child and the family.
In terms of infrastructure, Sandoval Group was in charge of both the construction of the school, which currently has a surface of 2,235 m2, and of classroom equipment, computer rooms, the library, chemistry and physics laboratories, dining areas and recreational and teachers’ rooms.
Since 2011, Sandoval Group has donated two university scholarships for the two top students of the graduating class. Comments of students who obtained the scholarship:
A permanent psychology department has been implemented that not only supports the child but also the family.
We wish to improve continuously the quality of education, so we are now part of the Full School Day (FSD) that increases school days from 35 to 45 pedagogical hours per week. This program expands learning opportunities, improves high school education service quality, promotes closing gaps and improves educational equality in the country.
A specialized school for parents has been created with the aim of reinforcing critical issues for the students' development: such as puberty and adolescence, family, health life, ethics and living standards, among others.
San Miguel School has two professionals from Enseña Peru's program dedicated full time to San Miguel School.
The school has a pre-university academy for third, fourth and fifth year high school students with the aim of providing them with the necessary preparation to be admitted to university.
In order to prevent diseases and rule out risks: visual acuity, respiratory diseases, social skills test, irritability and aggression, alcohol consumption, drugs and gangs prevention.
In 2014, elementary students obtained the 2nd place in the Student Assessment Census (ECE) in the Callao region.
In 2015, the students of Colegio San Miguel obtained the 1st Place in the Student Assessment Census (ECE) carried out in the entire Callao region with a 100% achievement in Communication and 96.6% achievement in Mathematics.
At Dinet we carry out actions that create smiles. On this occasion we delivered different supplies to the San Miguel School in Tiwinsa , Callao.
An action can generate great reactions of joy.
Dinet delivered products to be used in rescues and various activities carried out by fire company Roma 2. This present was made by Esteban Vargas - Central Operations Manager and Javier del Águila - Deputy Manager of QHSE.
We are committed to education and our actions reflect in our commitment towards the community. We participated in the implementation of the Anta Town library.
We participated in the interschool championship of Cajacay. Our commitment to society is visible in each of the activities in which we participate and that we develop.
At Dinet we carry out Christmas activities to share the joy of this holiday with the children of the Chavín Community in Chincha.
In Dinet we know and apply the basic security rules in all of our services. We shared our knowledge with the district of Ventanilla and held a presentation on Road Safety.
Until the first weeks of April, we frequently saw, heard and read news about floods and landslides in different parts of Peru. In Lima, our associates living in Huachipa and the surrounding areas were significantly affected by this natural event. For this reason, the Dinet family, as a part of Sandoval group, joined efforts to support injured associates, showing once again that together we are One Force, one family.
On Christmas holidays what is important is to bring joy to children and Dinet knows it. We want to share with you the beautiful experience we had in TUNAN town, with children from the SAN JUAN School of TUNAN.
