MTC Inspectors receive Dinet training - 2012

MTC’s hazardous materials and residues land transportation inspectors were trained by Dinet’s Logistics Training Center (CIL) on knowledge, interpretation and enforcement of regulation DS-021-2008 MTC for field inspections.

DinetPeru S.A., leading company in logistics operations for more than twenty years, cooperated with the Ministry of Transportation and Communication and with the Persons, Freight and Merchandise Land Transportation Superintendence (SUTRAN) for the training of transportation inspectors.

The Hazardous Materials and Residues course was prepared and approved by Dinet’s Logistics Training Center (CIL) and was conducted by three specialists from the Fleet Management, Freight Security, Hazardous Material and Residues areas.

The course was designed to train transportation inspectors for the inspection of freight considered as hazardous material; as well as to interpret and enforce Regulation DS-021-2008 MTC. The inspectors were trained on prevention tools to reduce risks related to fleet management, stowage methods and load securing. Also, they were given technical information to identify and recognize hazardous materials according to international standards.
