By Luis Miguel Maldonado - General Manager at Dinet

Entry to a neighboring country could happen through the purchase of a company. This year the Huachipa distribution center implementation will be completed.

Dinet, Sandoval Group’s logistics company, will complete to 100% the implementation of its new Huachipa distribution center this year, and will later focus on its internationalization project, which has been under evaluation for several years (Gestion 08.27.2012)

“This goal could be attained towards 2017 and 2018 and we are analyzing Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Bolivia”, said Luis Miguel Maldonado, the company’s General Manager.

He said that one of the evaluated options is to enter these countries through the purchase of a company, although there is no project currently.

Expectation

With contracts obtained in 2015, Dinet would have greater support in mining and would incorporate new clients to fill Huachipa’s capacity, and forecasts a 25% growth this year, compared to the 12% growth in 2014, said the executive.

Investments

This year, the company will invest 45 million soles, of which 18 million soles will be allocated to retail, commerce and goods (75% of sales) and 27 million soles will be destined to mining and construction. These sectors represent 15% of the company’s income and will become 20% this year said Luis Maldonado.

To achieve the forecasted growth, the company will acquire 26 vehicles to transport minerals and products underground, will enlarge its service portfolio with a new temporary container deposit business in Callao (20,000 m2) and will implement a new software to cater to E-Commerce in retail, consumption and goods, said the executive.

Likewise after obtaining 100% operability in Huachipa, the company will focus in enlarging the mining operations that it has in Arequipa and Chiclayo, for which they are evaluating a land purchase of more than 50,000 m2 in these cities, as well as in Trujillo.
